Agile has long been the approach in the technical world to more quickly produce software in a collaborative, iterative way.  Larger companies are attempting to replicate this in order to compete with smaller, faster competitors.  As the benefits of working agile are spreading to other industries, Human Resources is being challenged to lead this effort at their companies and adopt this operating method as well.   During this session we will discuss a number of potential including:

  • What aspects of culture can help with or hinder Agile methodology?
  • How have systems and processes (HR or others) changed to support an Agile approach?
  • What are the competencies, skills, mindsets or abilities most needed in Agile environments?
  • How are teams leveraging technology to embrace Agile?
  • How has HR successfully supported Agile teams across the company?
  • What is the role of learning and development professionals in improving organizational agility?
  • What are the implications for HR in areas like talent strategies, rewards systems, the employee experience, etc.?
  • Can organizations evolve to Agile or does it really need to be a disruptive revolution/transformation?

This working group will be an open-ended discussion session and we will spend time talking about each of these areas as well as others that are identified through the course of our conversations together.  We will maintain a flexible schedule to allow for ample interaction and networking - something we consider critical to the goal of our working groups.

This interactive working group session is free of charge to CAHRS partner firms, but participation is limited to no more than twenty-five attendees per session. The session will run from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm with a working lunch.
