Four Key Takeaways from the CAHRS Partner Meeting

Please plan to join us for the CAHRS Fall Partner Meeting "HR Transformation: Enhancing Value Creation" on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York starting Wednesday, October 23rd with a kick-off reception and meeting to follow on Thursday, October 24th.

Virtually all organizations are in the process of transforming their HR function.  Some may be further along than others, but across organizations there is a shared desire to better position the HR function to create value for the organization, both now and into the future.  These efforts have put a spotlight on the employee experience as well as the need for the HR function to adapt to changes in the nature of work and organization. The purpose of this CAHRS Partner Meeting will be to examine how leading organizations have been transforming their HR functions and the challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned they have encountered along the way.  Both Cornell faculty and company executives will share their current work on HR transformation, providing insight into a number of important issues, including the following:

  • Actions, practices, tools, and approaches that HR can use to increase its impact on the organization in a rapidly changing world
  • Strategies for improving coordination and collaboration among the different parts of the HR function (i.e., HRBPs, COEs, and Shared Services)
  • Implications of HR transformation for the attributes and competencies required of HR leaders, and strategies and practices for capability building

Who Should Attend?
Typical participants range from CHRO to mid-career HR managers.  Those who are a good fit are both HR executives and managers looking to bring new ideas back to their organizations and HR managers looking for an opportunity for learning and exposure to a range of best practices from other leading companies across a number of key HR activity areas.  Partner companies are invited to send 1-5 participants to the program (sending more is possible depending on available seating) as this is a great opportunity to bring a small team to learn together and discuss implications and how to translate the learnings for your company.
