As we head into 2022, talent attraction and retention remain key concerns for many CAHRS partner companies. More specifically, many are concerned about their ability to attract and retain top talent (e.g., high performers, critical roles, or those with scarce skills). In this working group, Professor John Hausknecht will lead a discussion aimed at exploring some of the current challenges and opportunities associated with acquiring and retaining top talent.

Some of the questions that will guide our discussion will include:

•    What are you seeing in your organization regarding attraction and retention of key talent? Has the “great resignation” slowed or are you still challenged by top talent attrition?
•    How do you define “top talent” and/or “critical roles?” In what ways do your talent attraction and retention strategies differ for these groups vs. the rest of the organization, if at all?
•    What innovative strategies/practices are you adopting to address top talent attraction and retention? Of these solutions, which have been more/less effective?

Prior to the session, attendees should give some thought to the questions included in the description, so they are prepared to share with the group.  We also strongly prefer that participants be on camera during the session to allow for more engaging interaction.  If for some reason after you sign up for the working group, something comes up last minute (especially while many of us are working from home), it would be great to get even a last minute e-mail advising us that you cannot attend as we sometimes have a waiting list.
