CAHRS Fall Partner Meeting | October 25-26, 2023 | Cornell University | Ithaca, NY

Please plan to join us for the CAHRS Fall Partner Meeting "The Impact of Technology on the Future of Work and the HR Function" on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York starting Wednesday, October 25th with a kick-off reception and meeting to follow on Thursday, October 26th.

Technological advances are shaping the future of work. Recent developments in artificial intelligence have the potential to make both workers and firms more productive and to spur innovations in products and services but may also automate existing jobs and exacerbate inequality. Labor shortages, fragile supply chains, and global political uncertainty have driven increased adoption of robotic automation. And technology is enabling new ways of working, providing employees with greater flexibility in when and where they work. These advances are spilling over to the HR function and investments in HR technology, including talent marketplaces, employee experience platforms, and employee listening tools, remain a top priority.  But, perhaps more importantly, the HR function is on the front lines of navigating the technology-fueled future of work and its implications for workforce planning, sourcing, skills development, the employee experience, and virtually every other aspect of human capital management.

The purpose of this CAHRS Partner Meeting is to examine how technology is shaping the future of not only work but also the HR function. As part of the program, Cornell faculty will share cutting-edge research on the impact of technology on work and human capital management, and executives from Boeing, Accenture, IBM, and Workday will share how they have transformed their HR functions in the face of technological disruption and the lessons learned along the way.  CAHRS partner companies can bring several members of their HR team (4-6 people) and make it a learning retreat to learn together on the Cornell Campus in upstate New York.

Who Should Attend?
Typical participants range from CHRO to mid-career HR managers.  Those who are a good fit are both HR executives and managers looking to bring new ideas back to their organizations and HR managers looking for an opportunity for learning and exposure to a range of best practices from other leading companies across a number of key HR activity areas.
